Commercial Structures
Our experience in commercial structures includes various retail and office projects. These types of projects vary greatly in the use of materials such as wood, masonry (both CMU and structural brick), concrete, steel and light gauge metal framing or a combination of these materials.
Redmond Ridge Retail, CDA Architects - Redmond, Washington

This project is an 8,000 square foot retail project in Redmond. The structure combines CMU and metal stud walls with a combination of open web steel joists and wood trusses for the roof structure.
In addition to the basic structure, site built wood trusses were intergraded into the roof framing as feature elements at the entrances. The project was completed in the summer of 2006.
Chehalis Retail - Chehalis, Washington

An 11,750 square foot retail project that combined CMU exterior walls with flat wood roof trusses. The project incorporated unique steel awnings around the entries as well as a “tower” feature that needed to be raised above the roof to allow for easier drainage and waterproofing. The project is designed but has not yet been permitted.
