Erik Davido, PE, LEED AP - President/Principal Erik has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Washington and has primarily consulted municipalities and special-purpose districts in the Pacific Northwest. Erik's career began in construction inspection and management of water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, and road systems, as well as pump stations and treatment plant improvements. As a design engineer and project manager, Erik has gained experience in project funding, comprehensive planning, permitting, regulations compliance, computer modeling, and public involvement, and has performed city engineer duties. Matthew C. Schmitter, PE, SE - Vice President/Principal of Structural Engineering Matt has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Union College (New York) and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington. He is a registered Structural Engineer in the States of Washington and California, a registered Engineer in Arizona and has also provided services in Alaska, Oregon and Utah. Matt's career has focused on providing private consulting of structural engineering, through which he has developed a complete understanding and involvement in all phases of a project, including design development, contract documents, and construction. Matt has extensive experience in the structural design of buildings of various construction materials (wood, steel, concrete, masonry and light gauge metal) and in non-building structures (retaining walls, vaults, pedestrian bridges, etc). Quin Clements, PE - Vice President/Principal Quin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Washington State University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Washington and has worked both as a private consultant and as the Civil Engineer and Assistant City Engineer for the City of Oak Harbor. His career began in construction inspection, primarily in the development of water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage systems. Quin has a strong background in design engineering and project management with valuable experience gained overseeing all private and public development within the City of Oak Harbor. Quin has been extensively involved in the development review process, both for the City of Oak Harbor and the City of Marysville, and is knowledgeable both in permitting and project funding. Tracey Wentz Belding, PE - Senior Civil Enginer/Project Manager Tracey has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington. She has consulted with a variety of municipal clients in the State of Washington, providing planning, design and project management services for drinking water, storm water, and waste water systems. Prior to joining Davido Consulting Group, Tracey was employed at Hammond Collier for 12 years. Tracey's experience includes comprehensive planning, design, modeling, and project management for public utility projects, with a focus on drinking water and storm water systems. In addition, Tracey has served as consulting District Engineer for municipal water system clients, performing day to day management and engineering duties, as well as on-call engineering design services. Gary Hess, PE, LEED AP - Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager Gary has a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Resources Engineering from Humboldt State University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Washington and has primarily consulted municipalities and utilities in the Pacific Northwest. Gary's career began as a consulting engineer in studies, design and construction management of wastewater treatment plants. In 1995 Gary joined Island County Public Works Department as Public Works Engineer managing a wide variety of projects from trails to jails. Gary left Island County in 2006, returning to the consulting world with Davido Consulting Group's office in his community of Freeland. Gary's responsibilities include project management, sanitary sewer collection and treatment system design and civil engineering. Gary's broad experience includes contracts and agreements, project funding and budgeting, comprehensive planning, permitting, regulations compliance, cost estimating, grant management, and public involvement. Jeffery M. Tasoff, PE - Civil Engineer III Jeff has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Washington State University and a Master of Science degree in Biochemistry from Duke University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Washington and has worked both in private industry as a Project Engineer/Manager and for the Island County Building and Health Departments. Jeff has a strong background in regulatory compliance at the county, state and federal level. While at Island County, Jeff was responsible for the approval and oversight of small water systems, reviewing building plans for code compliance, and assisted in hydrogeological surveys and analyses within Island County. Jeff continues to work in a broad range of civil engineering disciplines with an emphasis in water system treatment and design, while also assisting with the structural engineering for residential construction. Danny Ochoa, PE - Civil Engineer II Danny received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Washington State University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Washington and has experience in both the private and public sector. As a consulting engineer, Danny's experience has primarily been in modeling, design, and construction inspection of water and stormwater systems. Prior to returning to obtain his degree, Danny worked as a Water Distribution Manager with the City of Oak Harbor Public Works Water Division where he gained first hand knowledge of construction and maintenance of municipal water systems. Tim Gabelein, EIT - Civil Engineer I Tim has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Sciences from Seattle Pacific University. He is a registered Engineer in Training in the State of Washington and has a background in the surveying and construction fields. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Washington and California. Jordan has past experience with site grading, surveying, and bridge construction and installation. Jordan's career has focused on the structural design and construction methodology of wood, steel, masonry, tilt-up and post-tensioned concrete structures where he has gained experience in all aspects of the design process. Joshua D. Nelson, EIT, LEED AP - Structural Engineer I Josh has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington. He is a registered Engineer in Training in the State of Washington and has a background in the structural design and construction fields. As a design engineer, Josh has gained experience in the design of wood, clay brick, concrete masonry, steel, and concrete structures. Josh is a member of both the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and Structural Engineers Association of Washington (SEAW). As a LEED Accredited Professional Josh's green building & design experience consists of multi-family structures, single-family residential green remodels, as well as combined residential and commercial buildings. Nathan Davis - Engineering/AutoCad Technician II Nathan is our AutoCAD manager. Nathan has 3 1/2-years of scholastic background in mechanical drafting and computer aided drafting. Nathan's career began in drafting civil engineering and land surveying plans for submittal to various cities in Snohomish, King and Island County. In the past eleven plus years Nathan has learned and used with proficiency, Pacsoft, all versions of Autodesk from Softdesk 8 to AutoCAD Land Desktop 2009, Civil 3D & WaterCAD. For the past nine plus years Nathan has also been involved in construction inspection, residential and commercial development design. Brenda Valdez - Structural Engineering Technician Brenda has an Associate of Applied Science degree in Architectural Engineering Drafting from North Seattle Community College. Before starting at Davido Consulting Group, she worked as a contract drafter for a company that developed wing-to-body fillet panels. Brenda’s work experience has given her knowledge of various drafting programs such as CADRA, CATIA v.5, multiple versions of AutoCAD and working knowledge of Revit Structure 2009. Brenda started with DCG in 2006 and as an engineering technician has worked on various structural engineering projects with sizes ranging from single family residences to multi-family and senior housing developments and on occasion has been supplemental to civil engineering projects. Jonathan Hibbler - Civil Engineering Technician Jonathan joined DCG in 2007 and has performed drafting and technical support for a variety of civil engineering projects, both for public and private clients. Jonathan is proficient in the use of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Land Desktop 2008 and AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008. Jamie Permenter - Whidbey Office Manager Jamie has been with Davido Consulting Group since 2004. She works full time in our Whidbey office, managing the day to day tasks there.
